When I was a kid, I wondered why there weren't any superhero movies. I was an avid comic book reader, and it seemed like superhero comics would lend themselves well to films. All these years later, it turns out that I was right. Superhero movies are constantly being produced, and most especially during what we used to call "drive-in season" or summer for short. Now drive-in season starts in early May and barrels along through September. All sorts of superhero films are being made with single heroes or teams of heroes put together for some enrstwhile performance. On May 25, in Hollywood, which is a superhero among cities, Wonder Woman is back in a prequel of sorts to the 70's Wonder Woman TV show and the 2011 TV film. This is the fourth installment in the DC Comics Extended Universe and VIP Concierge has tickets for the world premiere and the wondrous after party.

Gal Gadot, an Israeli actress and model, has the lead role. Gadot served in the IDF for two years and won the Miss Israel title in 2004. You might remember her from her appearances in a few of the Fast and Furious films and for her recent stint as Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman. She has put the awesome back into the Wonder Woman character even though many staunch WW fans would have preferred Lynda Carter, but Lynda is too old to play the part any longer. She did 60 episodes of the TV show and was adored by film fans everywhere. To prepare for the role in the Batman film, Gadot took swordsmanship, Kung Fu kickboxing, Capoeira and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lessons. Her performance as the superhero was hailed as one of the best parts of the film. That portends great things for her very own movie.

The new film takes us back and tells the story of how Wonder Woman became Wonder Woman, in case you ever wondered about that. The synopsis goes like this. In the early 20th century, the Amazon princess Diana, who is living on the island of Themyscira, meets American military pilot Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) when he is washed ashore. After learning from him about the ongoing events of World War I, she leaves her home for London to bring an early end to the war. That's pretty heady stuff for a young woman to take on, but, hey, she's Wonder Woman.

And we're the superheroes of tickets to movie premieres. If you've been dying for the re-launch of this series, we can set you up so you can walk the red carpet of this VIP event. Later this year, we'll have tickets for the upcoming Justice League film, which features Wonder Woman too. This film is going to be one of the summer's biggest hits, and Gadot is going to do several of these movies. She earned this franchise and you've earned the right to be there for the world premiere.
