The 2016 ESPY® Awards
The ESPY® Awards aren't like other award shows. You might expect a show that concentrates on sports stars, sports shows and sports stories to be mostly attended by sports figures. But you're as likely to see a beautiful model or actress at the show as a sports star. Celebrities of all types go to the ESPY® Awards because they are unpredictable and always entertaining. Plus, all sports are honored at this show, not just football or soccer.
If you're a sports fan, or if you just like hanging around with world famous professional sports stars and entertainers, we have tickets to the ESPYs® for you. You'll get to enjoy the show with folks like retired basketball star Shaquille O'Neil, championship golfers Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, professional football quarterbacks Tom Brady and Tim Tebow and actors Mila Kunis, Justin Timberlake and Halle Berry, among others. You can also get a blue billion autographs and have your picture taken with your faves.
The 2016 ESPY® Awards will be held mid-July, 2016 (exact date TBD) at the Microsoft Theatre Theater L.A. Live. ESPN has been throwing this party since 1993, and they've ironed out all the wrinkles. The network manages to seamlessly integrate pro athletes with models, musicians and actors in a way that no other network could manage. Rob Riggle, the popular actor/comedian known for his roles in the films "The Hangover" and "Step Brothers," plus his time on "The Daily Show" is hosted the event again. Naturally, the biggest plays, most unexpected upsets and record-breaking performances of the previous year are celebrated, but the ESPY® Awards don't just celebrate sports achievements. It honors the competitor's spirit, as well as instances of strength and determination that go beyond sports.
VIP access to the ESPY® Awards will get you prime seats for the show, but be sure you dress the part. The dress code calls for black tie or "fabulously chic." In other words, you better dress to impress, or you might be overlooked. One little known fact about the celebration is that part of the proceeds from the show go to The V Foundation, which was named for its founder, the late Jim Valvano.
